With very little formal training, save that from his artistic family of painters, Moose Stoopendaal became one of the finest animal painters Sweden has ever produced. Using the same style and subject matter as Bruno Lilefors, his plein air works display a brush technique that emulates the Master. His work is represented in all the major Swedish museums and extensively in private collections. Born in Stockholm in 1902, Stoopendall died in 1948.
