Pictured is my parent’s Edo period screen donated to the MIA. It depicts chapter 40 “Minori” from the Tale of Genji and was created by an artist of the Tosa School  in the early 1700s. The  table and leather chairs were carved by Italian artisans in the early 1970s. The candelabra are French, heavy and gold-plated. Some office, you think?
